All we have to do is look around us and we can see the results of his social, economic and political theories. What do you

It is the expressed hopes, dreams and desires of the descendants and family of Alexander Hamilton,
who was a major contributor to the development and also a signer of the United States Constitution. He was also America's first Secretary of the Treasury and founder of Paterson, New Jersey as the
first planned industrial city in America. The friends and descendants of Alexander Hamilton would like to have his
legacy and contributions to the development of the United States enhanced and preserved for posterity. The Friends of Alexander
Hamilton & Descendants Committee has undertaken the task of assisting in the enhancement of Alexander Hamilton's legacy.

Mission Statement:
ALEXANDER HAMILTON M I S S I O N S T A T E M E N T
The Friends
of Alexander Hamilton & Descendants Committee came into existence on July 15, 2004. The mission of this organization is
to enhance the large and wonderful legacy that has been left to posterity by Alexander Hamilton, the founder of Paterson,
New Jersey (1792) and the founder of the Society for Establishing Useful Manufactures (1791.) (S.U.M.)
One of
our major goals which has already been accomplished was to have Alexander Hamilton’s birthday of Jan. 11th established
as a city-wide holiday celebration. This mission was accomplished on Jan. 11, 2005 and will be celebrated every Jan. 11th
henceforth.
We will develop plans and programs that will highlight the contributions that
Alexander Hamilton left
to Paterson, New Jersey and to America beginning with an extension of his S.U.M. theory as cited above. We plan to establish
The Society for Establishing Useful Cyberspace Technologies in Paterson. This institution will focus on establishing the Alexander
Hamilton Foreign Trade Zone in Paterson. Because of our untapped pool of human resources we will hire and train our local
people in these hi-tech positions thereby adding to the ratable base for our city.
This Alexander Hamilton Foreign
Trade Zone carries with it the fact that Alexander
Hamilton, as America’s first Secretary of the Treasury, developed
and installed
the United States Department of Commerce, US Customs Service and the US Coast Guard three key institutions
in any foreign trade zone endeavor.
Our other goal is to establish a Sister-City relationship with the independent
islands of St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Croix. The island of Nevis where Alexander Hamilton was born and St. Croix the island
from where he eventually migrated to America. (See Newsletter link.)
